A Place to Meet – The Association of Professional Landscapers – RHS Hampton Court Flower Festival
Absolutely delighted to be involved as a sponsor for The Association of Professional Landscapers stand at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Festival again this year.
The Association is very dear to our hearts, and we’ve been active members for over 10 years. Rod went to his first APL Cluster Mtg {networking with like-minded people} and after almost joining another group in the pub {could have been the local running club} he found his tribe.
Landscapers, designers, and others that are as passionate about the industry we work in as we are. We soon learned about the incredible support this association gives to its members. It doesn’t matter whether you are a landscaper working on your own, or a larger design and build construction company, the APL is there for everyone.
So, what does it mean to be a member of the Association of Professional Landscapers?
After application, you will meet for a rigorous inspection of your business to ensure each member has up to date insurances, complies with health and safety law and that your quality of work is to the highest possible standards. Site inspections of projects you are running are also visited to again ensure that all these principles are also applied outside the office. This is an annual inspection.
It’s then a proud day when you get to wear your APL badge! Banners, uniform, cars are all adorned with the accreditation well deserved.
On the flip side, it’s also great to carry this accreditation and allow potential clients more confidence you are exactly the right company to work with in their home.
It’s more than a badge!
It’s friendship, a learning academy, a place to meet. The annual awards event, cluster meetings throughout the country and the ability to work together for displays like here at Hampton Court is what it’s all about.
We’ve been delighted to help on many occasions, and the APL DNA runs through our company every day. Rod also proudly held the position of APL Chairman and helped forge the association forward working with other extremely important associations like BALI and the SGD.

This year we have supported the stand with one of our lovely Maluwi canopies keeping the team and visitors shaded and sheltered. Underneath we placed one of our Vlaze outdoor bars to allow a place to meet, chat over business, welcome visitors to explore the garden and chat with landscapers and designers on hand about gardens. After all that’s what’s it all about – living outdoors!
